Claude Moore Culinary School

Roanoke, Virginia

Adaptive and reuse redevelopment of an 83-year-old historic theater that housed the offices of celebrated African American filmmaker Oscar Micheaux in the 1920s. The updated Claude Moore Complex can be viewed directly across the street from the Dumas Center for Artistic & Cultural Development.

Transformed into a state-of-the-art culinary school, the building now features catering and banquet facilities to be administered by the Roanoke Higher Education Center as well as a consortium of 14 Virginia colleges and universities.
