HRV Accepted as Member of Appalachian Community Capital

HRV has been accepted as a member of Appalachian Community Capital, a financial intermediary with a mission to increase small business lending in the Appalachian Region.

Christiansburg, VA (October 20, 2020) – The Appalachian Community Capital Board of Directors unanimously approved the membership application of Hampton Roads Ventures, LLC, during its monthly business meeting today in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Appalachian Community Capital (ACC) is a wholesale development financial intermediary, created in 2013, with a mission to increase small business lending by providing Appalachian member institutions that serve underserved people and communities with new sources of capital.  Donna Gambrell, ACC President and CEO, welcomed the new member, stating that HRV’s “strategy for lending in rural Appalachia complements ACC’s vision to address credit needs throughout the Region.”
