Philip C. Smith, M.D., Ph.D.

Philip served for 23 years at hospital-based programs in Chicago, Cleveland, and Akron. He currently heads the pediatric cardiovascular surgery program at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD).

As a resident of East Beach, Philip has learned the value that public-private partnerships play in housing development within our community. As the owner/entrepreneur of COVA Brewing Company, which opened in Ocean View in 2019, he also sees the value of small business development.

Philip and his family have lived in Norfolk since 2017.
